Trump's Terrible and Stupid Tulsa Rally

Aaron Rupar has a great video round-up of the madness.

Some highlights of the lies from Daniel Dale:

There'll be a focus on the smaller-than-predicted crowd, but this remark is a remarkable, big-news story.

! Trump says testing is a "double-edged sword" because you find even lots of minor cases, then adds, "I said to my people, 'Slow the testing down, please.'" He has never before said he asked anyone to slow down testing -- this has been an allegation by his opponents.

Trump usually does this to lie that he's the only president who has ever had the stamina and strength to acknowledge every cadet, but he seems to have forgotten that part this time.

Trump is now complaining about having to salute graduating West Point cadets in the hot sun last weekend. “Six hundred times!... It’s like a workout without a weight.”

...and Trump calls the virus "Kung flu."

Again, it's not true that Trump "shut down the United States" to "people from China" (US citizens/green card holders/family members were exempted) or "closed it down to Europe" (entire European countries were exempted).

Missed the beginning of the rally but am reliably told Donald Trump got Veterans Choice passed after others had tried and failed for almost 50 years. (No, that’s a lie. Barack Obama signed Choice into law in 2014.)
Here’s a panorama taken by CNN’s
as Trump took the stage.

One of Trump’s favorite lies is that he has never had an empty seat at any event since he launched his campaign. He has even said this during events with empty seats.

People who signed up for Tulsa Rally are getting texts from the campaign right now: "The Great American Comeback Celebration's almost here! Doors are OPEN at the BOK Center. Pres. Trump can't wait." "There's still space!"
Recall that the president was talking about how they’d probably use an extra venue to hold the “40,000” people who wouldn’t be able to fit in the arena... Also recall the vocal campaign boasting about how many people (“over 1 million”) had supposedly signed up to seek tickets...
